Who You Are

"Be who you are and say what you feel,
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss
I love this saying because it's so true! Growing up I always dressed like everyone else. I begged my mom to buy me the designer duds so I could fit in with the popular crowds and was always concerned about how others perceived me. I remember one day in high school I wore these plaid pants that I loved-everyone made fun of me...even the damn principal-saying he had the same pair in the 70's. I never wore them again after that, but today I wish would have never gotten rid of them. I guess that's what happens when you grow older. You realize that you shouldn't care what others think or say because at the end of the day the only person who has to be happy...is you! So anymore, I do what I want and I definitely wear what I want and I don't really care what anyone has to say about it anymore.
 wearing: Sonoma jeans from Kohl's; Jeffrey Campbell Potion Shoes;
Forever 21 black basic t (under shirt) and Sequin top; LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's motorcycle jacket;
vintage necklace, Tiffany's high heel necklace, Forever 21 rings
 These shoes have to be the most comfortable shoes ever!
I wore them out all day while shopping.
 The beading on this top is so fun! But I'm afraid to wear it a lot. After one day of wearing it shopping I already lost a few beads.
I sat down on this pile of bricks and instantly felt so at peace. Next time I'll have to take a picture of the tiny view of my backyard from where I was sitting. Just a few simple lilac bushes and lots of green grass. I'm a simple girl and it doesn't take a lot to make me happy.

I know I probably did a huge fashion faux paux by folding my jeans up but I was a little warm. What's your opinion on rolling of the jeans?

  2. I remember I wore a pair of capris back in 1998, before they were all the rage. They were the tight ones that went just below your knee. I loved them and I remember my teacher saying, "You look like one of those old time swimsuit pants." Well, I wore them....and now they are everywhere.
