The recipe is fairly simple and you only need a few ingredients. I always add crushed up walnuts before I pour it into the pan. I like the added crunch to the bread. Here's the recipe!
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter- melted and cooled
stir together flour, salt, and soda, Set aside
in another bowl-combine bananas and sugar
add egg and butter-blend
add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients
mix until moistened (this is when you can add the nuts)
pour into a greased loaf pan
bake at 325°F for 55-60 minutes (or till knife comes out clean)
I love to cut a slice of bread and pop in the microwave for a few seconds to make it warm and then smother it with cream cheese.
