Welcome to Food Friday

Twitter has FF-Follow Friday so I'm going to try and have FF-Food Friday every Friday because, I'll admit it, I have an eating disorder. I love food too damn much! Excuse the cursing in this post. I try to stick to a simple eating regiment during the week, but come weekend, my diet goes to shit and I eat everything in sight. So that's why I'm going to have Food Friday every week so you too can enjoy in some of the goodies I've been eating.

Today I bring you the best damn cookie bars I've had in a while otherwise knows as Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars. I was sitting in the doctors office on Tuesday and flipped to this page and instantly my mouth watered. I knew it was a recipe I had to try and share with my family this weekend. When I bit into the bar it tasted like a chocolate peanut butter explosion in my mouth. I'm craving it right now as I type this...darn it for not bringing one for lunch! Oh and just so you don't yell at me, no I'm not the person at the doctors office that tears pages out of the magazines. I snap a picture of it with my phone and then find it online :)
The recipe is rather simple, just seven ingredients. Some of these you might already have- butter, milk, peanut butter, peanuts, chocolate pudding. But you might have to purchase the others-chocolate cake mix and semi sweet chocolate squares.

What You Need!
1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1 pkg.  (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1/2 cup  milk
6 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped, divided
1 cup  PLANTERS Dry Roasted Peanuts, divided
1 cup creamy peanut butter

Make It!
HEAT oven to 350ºF.

LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil; spray with cooking spray. Beat first 4 ingredients with mixer until well blended. (Dough will be thick.) Press half onto bottom of prepared pan.

BAKE 10 min. Sprinkle half each of the chopped chocolate and nuts over crust. Microwave peanut butter in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min., stirring after 30 sec.; spread over nuts. Roll remaining dough into 13x9-inch rectangle between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Peel back top layer of waxed paper; flip dough onto top of dessert. Remove remaining waxed paper. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate and nuts. Press gently into dough with spatula.

BAKE 15 min. Cool 1 hour. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting into bars.
