Spicy Roasted

Tomorrow is the first picnic/get together I've hosted in a long time, and with the excitement of planning it I found some fun new recipes. This Spicy Roasted Chickpeas is one of them. I wanted to do a test run before Saturday came and I'm very glad I did. This recipe is very simple to make, however, it's also very spicy! At least now I know not to put so much chili powder on them. I think you'll like this lil snack- it's healthy, and would taste great with a beer! A few tips- mine took a lot longer to cook than the recipe calls for. Lay paper towels in the bottom of your tray and put the beans on top, then cover with paper towels and shake side to side-helps get the water off, then remove paper towels. If you don't like spicy, don't use a lot of chili powder. I think these would be great with just salt and pepper...maybe ranch powder? Oh I think I'm going to have to try that!
If you have trouble printing this recipe or copying let me know (here) and I will email it to you :)

I'm very excited for next week! On Wednesday my pup and I are boarding a plane to join my parents and nephew in Wisconsin. My father and nephew are attending the PGA Golf Championship, and they rented a lake house for the week. I've never been to Wisconsin before, and I'm so excited to explore a new area. My mom and I are already planning on places we must shop and see while the boys are at the golf match.

I do have so bad news though. To save on money I had to pack my bags and send them with my parents (who drove to WI) today. This means I have to go 5 days without certain shoes, clothes...and my camera! I wanted to have my camera while in Wisconsin but didn't want to have to check it when I fly. (My pup is my carry-on luggage for the plane) So sadly my blog won't have any new pictures for a while. I'll continue to post though! Maybe I'll scan some oldies in to share with you. Would you like that?

Hope you all have a gorgeous weekend! I'll do some Twitter pics this weekend so follow me here!
