When my family comes together there is always one food item that is a must-a staple-a constant need- it is Buffalo Chicken Dip. I think the food baby I have growing in my stomach is on account of this dip during Christmas break and lack of exercise-but it is so worth it! I think we made 3-4 batches of this dip during break, we just could not get enough of it. The good part about this recipe is that you can make it as spicy as you want. My sister and I like it spicy but my parents not so much- so we only use about 4 ounces of hot sauce.
2-8 ounce bars of cream cheese
13 ounce can of chicken or cooked chicken breast cut up and shredded
1 cup blue cheese dressing
4 to 5 ounces Franks Red Hot or other hot sauce
Shredded cheddar cheese
What to do:
Mix first 4 ingredients in a bowl with a mixer.
Pour into a baking dish and then sprinkle with cheddar cheese
Back at 350°F for 20-30 minutes-till mixture is bubbly.
Cool for a few minutes and then serve with chips, nachos, pretzels, what ever you want!
The thing about this recipe is that it's all about you and what you want. If you want more chicken in it-add it, if you want it spicier-add more hot sauce, you don't like Frank's Red Hot-use a different brand, if you want it cheesey-add more cheese. Most of the time we use fresh chicken breasts that were boiled and then diced up. When we want this dip in a pinch then we grab a can of chicken.
If you have any questions about this recipe please just leave me a comment! I hope you all love this dip as much as my family and I do. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
