I've been meaning to share this outfit for a few weeks now. I wore this for a surprise birthday party my sisters, parents, and I put together for my brother's 40th birthday. He had to work 3rd shift the month (February) of his birthday so at the beginning of March we surprised him. It was the best because he had absolutely no idea at all. He thought he was going to dinner with my Aunt and Grandma...when he showed up there was about 30 of us! My sister even had a custom Star Wars cake made with a replica of his head on the Jedi!

I wanted to stay some what simple and comfortable but yet spice it up a lil with 4 inch heels :) I thankfully threw  a pair of flats into my purse before leaving and they came in handy when I was chasing my nieces and nephews around the restaurant. This sweater is one of my new favorites because it is one piece and the lace part has a nude backing to it. So you feel like you're showing skin but you're really not.

My brother turning 40 made me start thinking about my upcoming big birthday in September. I know it's normal to be depressed about turning 30 but I'm trying to make it a good thing- get excited about it because honestly, "Age is a matter of feeling, not of years."

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
