Day 3 started off with gorgeous blue clear skies and warm breezy air. We started the day out lounging on the beach and then moved to the private pool to nap on the bali beds and loungers. We then booked with our tour agent a 2 hour horseback ride to watch the sun set. I know sounds romantic...and it could have been but I was with my best friend so, no offense Tricia, but it wasn't romantic in that way. I loved that I got to share this gorgeous experience with her though.
It was truly an amazing experience to be trotting along horseback on a deserted beach and watch real Dominican life go on. This adventure was truly a great peaceful way to end the day. Even though it was Tricia, the tour guide, and myself we all stayed quiet the whole time and just soaked it all in. When we first saddled up and headed towards the beach it down poured! Being the troopers we are we trudged on and as soon as we got to the beach the rain stopped and the sun blazed as it set against the palm tree sprinkled country side. The turquoise waters, warm breeze, blue sky, sound of the crashing waves, and the beating of my horses hooves against the ground were so breath taking and awe experiencing. I will honestly never ever forget this evening. (Love and miss you Olivia! If I could have taken you home I would have!)

Please excuse this horrible excuse for a picture! We were super hungry and just snapped a few pics before entering the Italian Restaurant for dinner after are excursion and can you tell I got a little sun burnt! I even applied a ton of sun screen that day! Hope you're enjoying my pictures from vacation! So much more to come! Love to all!
