Wednesday morning during vacation I woke up bright and early to room service bringing in breakfast and suddenly got this nervous excitement over come me. I was going to put the safety of my life in complete strangers hands and zip line thru the tropical countryside. One of the things on my bucket list has always been to zip line and I couldn't believe the day had come to cross it off.
Tricia and I loaded up on a bus full of other vacationers and traveled 1 hour over hills, up mountains and on the worst roads ever to get to our destination. After being instructed on what to do and what not to do it was my turn to go. Surprisingly when I stepped up to be hooked in I wasn't scared at all, I was just so excited for this rush that was about to over take me. After the first section I almost ran to the next because I could not wait for this thrill! There were 8 or 9 different sections that went from low to extreme. The longest one being 700 meters (or 2,296 feet) and it was probably a couple hundred feet in the air. After the last section I shook from the adrenaline that had just pumped through me but I was ready, I wanted to do it all over again! I honestly can not wait to zip line again!
(Getting the run down on the map and instructions)
After our hour long truck ride back to the resort we managed to find the buffet and just ate till we were stuffed to the brim. We decided to sit and lay pool side where we both fell asleep and awoke to rain falling on us. So we went back to the room and crashed. Excitement and excursions really take a lot out of you! When we woke up it was getting late so we decided to get ready for dinner at the American Steak house.
(I'm sorry I just ate your cousin)
One day left :) Hope everyone has a great weekend! My big sister graduates college Sunday so I'll be with her and my family for festivities. Can't wait to show you pictures of the cookie trays I made for her party.
