LOFT bracelet; vintage start necklace
I got this 70's wrap skirt a few weeks ago from TwitchVintage and have gotten some mixed reviews about it. When I first tried in for my mom she told me how my grandmother used to wear skirts like this in the 70's. My niece looked at my skirt and walked away without saying a word. I, however, love and adore this skirt! It so bright and bold. One would definitely get noticed in this skirt.
I feel that fashion is about personal preference and everyone is entitled to their opinions. I get dressed everyday for myself. I dress to feel pretty, to make myself feel good and to have fun. I don't get dressed everyday in hopes that you or someone else will like what I have on. I used to care, but anymore the only person who has to be happy at the end of the day is yourself.
Okay, I'm stepping off my soap box now.
I threw this outfit on Saturday to head out to the local country fair and chicken bbq dinner with my dad. As we were walking into the fair (I changed into flats at the last minute) my dad said-"All those old ladies are staring at your skirt." He was right, every little old lady over the age of 70 was staring bright eyed and smiling at my skirt. I told my dad that I thought they were trying to remember if that skirt used to be theirs. He laughed and I simply smiled and said hi to all those lovely ladies.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
QUICK QUESTION- When I have long wordy posts like this, do you like it and read it all? Or should I just keep things short and sweet?
