Remember this blue LOFT dress from last summer? (seen HERE) I literally wore this dress a million times last summer and it is still holding true as one of my favorites. My only problem though is I find myself in a habit when wearing it. I got so used to wearing it to work with a button up tied at the waist that anytime I wear it now that's what I instantly reach for. I added a few new button ups like this colorful striped top from Old Navy (HERE) but I feel like I'm stuck in this rut. So I'm asking you for your advice since I need to get out of this run. How would you style this dress? Have you ever been in the habit of wearing a dress the same way? How did you get yourself out of this rut?

  1. Well, I do love that striped blouse with it. Maybe try it with a cardigan or a jean jacket (though you know I have neither of those in my closet)!? Or what about layering a lightweight open-knit cropped sweater over the top? I've been trying a bunch of different combinations lately with my summer dresses to try to get more wear out of them and I've found some of the best combinations from just playing in my closet for an hour! :)

  2. I like the idea of a cropped sweater over the dress...It just depends on how the proportions look once you try it on. Or maybe just wear a belt around the seam line in a fun color. Throw on a scarf with it and some wedge sandals. LOVE the satchel by the way!
