These Alabama Crackers are another wonderful find from Pinterest. (Everyone seriously should join Pinterest!) I know how much my family loves my Ranch Pretzels and spicy food so when I saw that these had a little of both I had to give them a try. And I am so glad I did! These crackers are perfect and have the perfect amount of kick. I only used 1 tablespoon of the red pepper flakes instead of 3 which made it possible for you to eat more than one.

There are a few tips about this Alabama Cracker recipe that I want to make note of for you.
- The recipe calls for a 2 gallon ziplock bag- I only had 1 gallon bags so I split the recipe between two bags and it work perfectly. Also, it's convenient to keep one bag for yourself and take one to a party.
- Mix the spice mixture in a measuring cup, this way it's easier to pour evenly over the two bags.
- Don't feel bad if you don't want to use the full 3 tablespoons of red pepper flakes. I used 1 tablespoon and it still had a good kick.
One last little tip that I'm going to try next time I make them is to not let them sit overnight and instead layer them on a cookie sheet and back at 375F for 5 minutes to help soak/cook off the oil. The crackers are great but a little oily to eat a lot. Hope you enjoy the fire!
Have a wonderful weekend!
