Chocolate Indulgence Cake

Winter is the best time to lay around in comfy clothes with elastic waist bands watching old classic movies with great wine and great tasting-yet fating- food. That's where this cake comes in. It is so good and just a little piece is all you need for your sweet tooth. I made this last weekend after I found boxes of unused semi sweet bakers chocolate in my cupboard leftover from Christmas. What makes this recipe even better is that it truly is so simple! Takes about 10 minutes- if that to prepare it and the 30 minutes to bake!

I snapped this picture while I was cooking. The girls curled up on Star's bed to take their evening nap!
I also have to share with you this great site I found today! It's called Reknit and it is so awesome! I don't know about you but I have so many sweaters piled in my closet that I love so much because of fond memories but never wear anymore and can't part with them. Well here is the solution to this! It's called Reknit. You send your scarf and pay $30 and this girls mother unravels your sweater and makes a scarf out of it then they ship it back to you! How freaking awesome is that?! January is Sweaters- but next month will be something different. I'm going home and pulling some sweaters out to do this. You all know how I love scarves and what is better than having one from your old sweater! Check out their site by clicking here!

I just want to thank you all so much for all of your kind comments and your support! I will never be able to put it into words how much each of you mean to me and how thankful I am for you. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!! Oh and eat lots of cake :)
6 ounces bittersweet bakers chocolate

  • Microwave chocolate and butter in a large microwaveable bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted.
  • Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  • In a seperate bowl mix eggs and sugar with a mixer until well blended.
  • Fold in chocolate mixture and stir until well combined
  • Add flour and mix
  • Pour into a greased and floured cake pan and back for 30 minutes at 350 F degrees or until tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10 minutes and then take a butter knife around the edge of the cake.
  • Place plate over top of cake and flip upside down to remove cake pan.
  • Allow to cool the rest of the way and then top with sprinkled powder sugar
Tifs Tips!
I used baker's semisweet chocolate for these cakes because I had so much leftover from christmas and it tasted just as good-if not better! Also, you don't have to flip it upside down and put powder sugar on it, but I like how it looks so that is why I do. I also tap and pound the cake pan on the counter before I bake it to help get the air bubbles and pockets out.
