Happy 100!

WooHoo! This is my 100th post! Sorry I just had to share that excitement! Sometimes when I start something I usually don't keep up with it and then it falls apart or dies. But not this blog. I love writing this blog so much and I have so much fun doing it. I just wanted to take a second to thank all of you-my readers. I truly do read each and every one of your comments and they keep me motivated and I thank you. I also check out each of your blogs and I haven't found one yet that I don't adore. So thank you for following me and loving me!

Ever look everywhere for something only to never find it? It's so frustrating sometimes. I've been looking for a great, but yet reasonably priced black motorcycle jacket- soft, semi cropped. Any suggestions?
Remember when I did the post on the Prada Studded Slingbacks (here) that I passed up a few months ago? (Yes I got the camera instead) Well now I am kicking myself for not getting them when I had the chance. Twice I have seen these beauties- once in Neimans and then once on Bluefly and now they're gone in my size. I truly would do anything for them now...okay maybe not anything. Bluefly has them but not in my size- has anyone seen them in a size 8 or know where I can get them. I would be forever indebted to you :) I think these would be perfect with my new cropped jean leggings I got. Help!
So I'm headed to Vegas in a couple of weeks and I am so excited! I have never been and have always wanted to go, you know one of those things on my bucket list. When my sister in law said about going out I jumped at the chance. To add the little cherry to the top of it all I scored First Class tickets, which means it will be one memorable trip all around! So here's my question to all of you- Do you have any tips or suggestions of things I should do or places I should visit while I'm out there? Places I should eat? Any tips on what to pack? I'm so excited but yet so nervous too.

OH- don't forget to head over to Hanh's page Life in Travel and vote for me in her style contest. All you have to do is leave a comment with my number- I'm #19! And while you're there check out her page! Her style is impeccable and her pictures are beautiful!

  1. Congrats on 100th post!

Vegas is one of my favorite places on earth. My aunt, uncle, and cousins live there, so I have been visiting from the time I was 2 years old.

Some advice: walk everywhere (wear appropriate shoes). Yes, there is a bus route, taxis, a monorail, and rental cars, but traffic is so heavy, it takes forever. Walking in Vegas is FUN because of all the sights and the people, it's the best way to get around.

Zappos is headquartered in Vegas. The last time I went we went on a free 3 hour tour. They'll come and pick you up, you get discounts, and all kinds of free stuff and food. It's soooo interesting! Just call ahead, that is crucial. It's owned by Amazon now so I hope they still do the tours!

All the malls and all the shopping is GOOD. The food is hit-or-miss and very expensive, I wish I could recommend a place but nothing stands out. All the Circ du Soleil, musicals, and celeb interpreters' shows are GOOD. You can get suckered into a timeshare presentation for free tickets to something if you don't mind wasting no less than 4-5 hours.

Go into all the hotels on the strip that you can. They are so interesting and detailed on their theme. My faves are the Bellagio, Paris, Luxor, and Excalibur. NY NY is also a don't-miss.

Pack your most glam clothes, you'll prob wear 2 outfits a day. One last piece of advice: don't take the little cards that men will try to hand you as you walk along the sidewalk. Have fun!

  2. Happy 100. Did you bake a cake or 100 mini cupcakes? I remember my 1 yera blogger anniversary. I made a cake. ;)

Ps. Good thing to know! I will go back and if I see him again will say just that: I read somewhere before that there is no such law really saying you can't take pictures (except in the Pentagon). thanks!

  3. Well done on the hundred posts! Great blog too!

  4. Faith J got to must of the tidbits I was going to advise you on... I'm trying to think of anything else. I've been to vegas a dozen times with family and other times with the girls.

Food: If you can splurge on food, def go to the Wynn or Spice Market Buffet (at Planet Hollywood.) They are roughtly $35 (w/o the champagne add-on) but well worth it, especially if you take you're sweet time to eat. Just skip all other meals so you can fit into your "most glam clothes" :) ! Oh and the appetizers at LAVO at Palazzo were very filling & less expensive than a full dinner, if you want a fancy meal b4 heading to the club upstairs (for free after dinner.)

Spas: Checkout my review of my most recent trip.

Clubs: Ask the front desk for line passes. If you're with all girls go straight to the doormen & ask if you can get in quicker (you'll still have to pay but no waiting!) Some places are drinks on the house till 12 for ladies. Text Cristy at 702.860.2684 with your names to get on the guestlist, she's a promoter for Tao :) There are plenty of them for all the clubs all over the place...usually at doors of restaurants & clubs handing out flyers for free drinks, etc.

    Have fun!

  5. I've never been to Vegas, but it seems so exciting! I hope you have a great trip!

  6. Thanks Faith J. and Lima for the tips and helpful info. I had no idea about Zappos- might have to go check that out. And thanks for the info about food and clubs. I'll definitely write that number down. I'll make sure to do posts when I get back :)

  7. Congrats on 100 posts and thanks for stopping by my blog!!! I'm following you now. :) XOXO
