Sunday was a sad day. A day none of us looked forward to. A day to say goodbye. Sunday I attended a memorial service for my one boss who was a friend to all of us in my office who suddenly passed away last weekend. It was a sad week and he will forever be missed, but we can still share stories and smile at the moments and times we got to share with him.

I wouldn't normally post what I wore to a funeral service but I really liked this layering effect I attempted. I knew I should wear black and I found this black sheath dress with the tags still on hanging in the back of my closet. I've had this dress for years, my mom snagged it for me at the Gap for $10 and sadly I never wore it. I knew I should wear black, but it was a gorgeous day and I wanted to brighten up my outfit a bit so I through this chiffon top over top. Where do you stand on how to dress for a funeral? Do you think it's alright to wear color to a funeral?

  1. Firstly I'm so sorry for you loosing your friend, it's a horrible thing to go through and I hope you're doing ok. Secondly that outfit is beautiful - it's appropriate but unique and super pretty too!

  2. I love the blog look! It looks so clean and professional. Gorgeous shoes btw.
