FABBulously Lucky

First let me start by saying September 7, 2011 was the best day and birthday of my life. The whole Lucky Fashion and Beauty Blog Conference was a complete dream and I felt like I was having a total out of body experience the whole day.

Second let me say I am the absolute worst blogger ever. I think that I was so over prepared that I wasn't prepared at all for my trip. That make sense? I'll start with some negatives:
     1. I forgot my curling wand at home which meant stringy hair all day!
     2. I left the hotel with my zoom lens instead of the regular which meant my picture taking was very limited to close ups only! Luckily Gina and Kimberly were so sweet to take some photos of me!
     3. I didn't bring a notebook to write notes in, but luckily ideeli provided note pads for everyone.

With all of that said, it ended up being an amazing day. I started the morning off by meeting up with the ever gorgeous Kimberly from Penny Pincher Fashion (who I met via twitter) for coffee and to be my new LuckyFABB buddy. It was her first time as well at LuckyFABB and it was so great to experience  it together and to help keep one another calm. After checking in we then bumped into Gina from Here Comes Gina who was also a first timer and also the hottest lawyer ever! The three of us hung out all day together and I don't think I would have had as much fun with out either of them. Gina and Kimberly were so funny, beautiful, smart, and fashion savy.

I'm going to break this day down into a few posts. First let's start with what I wore and the gifting suites that were available for everyone to be spoiled at.
Parker button top blouse (HERE); Zara skirt; LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's loafer heels (HERE);
Amrita Singh bracelet; vintage bracelets; House of Harlow 1960 peacock ring;
Jess LC "Franklin-Be Thankful" and "Dream Bigger" necklaces; Coach script ring
I knew that I wanted to wear something bright and bold and color blocking just seemed like the way to go. I have to make a note here that my shoes were a birthday present from my super adorable niece. Doesn't she have great taste!? Thank you Zoie!
Brandon, Caroline, and all of the staff at Lucky Magazine did such an amazing job putting together this conference. It was so professional, stylish, and well-organized. I truly felt spoiled by the whole day. I also felt normal for once hanging out with girls who love and are passionate about the same things I am. I will never, ever be able to fully thank the Lucky Magazine staff for including me in this conference.

At the Timberland suite where you got to create a winter look that will get sent onto a woman at the Peace House.
The Laundry gift suite where you pick your favorite fall dress, name it , photo with it, then they'll send it you!
White House/Black Market suite where they had a style challenge. You could style your model (provided) with clothes from the Winter collection.
The J Brand suite where you could pick any pair of their new style of jeans to have sent to you. I selected the Bianca flare jeans pictured here.

There were so many gifting suites that it was almost impossible to visit them all. Kimberly and I skipped one session in order to do so. My suggestion for next conference- more break times for mingling and meeting new bloggers. I felt like there wasn't much time to talk and network.

Sorry this post is so wordy- I'll try to make the next one shorter :) More LuckyFABB recap coming up.
